Just had lunch at Coffeeberry. It was quite busy, so I thought that we'd wait ages for our food. We didn't and wow - the food was absolutely awesome and the service outstanding.

Coffeeberry Cafe and Con Malherbe thank you most sincerely for hosting the Pietermaritzburg Girls high Class of '79 yesterday. Accommodating us in the manner you did, especially with the "bills", was appreciated. The food was, as always, outstanding and the staff friendly and super efficient. Please convey our appreciation to those who managed to assist our tables (amid the chaos) and the kitchen staff who prepared our meals.

Coffeeberry has created a safe and exhilarating environment, where you can enjoy good food, service is great considering the number of guests present, excellent carrot cake, sprinkled with family and friends, topped with great music. 1 September was a blast, awesome Spring day.

We had brunch here with our 5 year-old daughter. There’s a yummy children’s menu and the kids are provided with a case full of pencils to do the activity on the back of the kids menu. This is one of the ONLY restaurants we’ve been to where the colouring pencils have been new and SHARP!! I had a mocha latte and I usually find that a mocha just tastes like hot chocolate with no coffee kick at all... but this one was the best I have ever had - the balance of coffee and chocolate was perfect!

As a coffee addict (only the best would do). I frequent Coffeeberry for their excellent coffee. Outstanding pancakes & love love their starter fishcakes which I order religiously. My son's favourite is the white hot chocolate, my daughter the breakfast is her no 1 choice. In fact anything on the menu we would try because it is food that's not boring.

Best cofee in Pietermaritzburg
I cannot come to Pietermaritzburg without having a coffee here. The service is excellent and food is brilliant. Much nostalgia for me also meeting old friends for a catch up.
